Did it pass? Read the verdict
The verdict card sums up the run in one chip, a plain-words heading and the one action that moves things forward. Its ring has a slice per state the cases ended in.
A case that couldn’t be graded, was stopped or never ran counts as neither a pass nor a fail. Once Alpha has written up the run, the write-up’s first line becomes the heading. The card’s last line gives the spend (“$0.4200 on your key”), the duration and the number of cases. With no must-pass case, it says the run “has no overall result”; under Ready, it lists failed cases outside the gate: “Look at them before you trust the green.”
Switch between Overview and Detailed report
A switch under the verdict card picks the view. Overview is for reading. The Test cases card draws a numbered hexagon per case; hover one for why it didn’t pass, click it to open it. By scenario and By persona bars show where the agent struggles. Below them, What this run tells us holds Alpha’s write-up (or Ask Alpha to explain this run), and Cases to look at lists each failed case once with every check it missed. The AI reviewer’s doubts appears when the reviewer was unsure: a doubtful answer on a must-pass case is asked again, and a split that stays is yours to decide.
Detailed report is a table with a row per case, for working through them.
Automatic counts the code checks passed and AI review the AI review questions passed, over every attempt. Inconsistent under a status means the case passed in the run this one is compared with and fails now, with the agent unchanged: it gets this right only some of the time.
Open a test case
Click a tile, a row or Open to see a case in a side panel. When it ran more than once, a strip of attempts (“Run 2 of 3”) lets you pick one; the panel opens on the first that didn’t pass.
Ask Alpha why asks Alpha to read a failed case and explain it. When a scorer broke, Grade again re-scores the recorded answer with no model call, and Ask Alpha to fix the scorer asks for the repair. When the AI reviewer stays split, the session’s owner makes the call.
Fix failures with Alpha
Fix with Alpha hands the failed cases over together, so Alpha looks for what they share and proposes one change: to your agent (a prompt, a tool) or to the test (a wrong expected answer). It edits nothing until you say yes.1
Send the failures
Click Fix with Alpha on the verdict card, or tick rows in Detailed report and use the bar under the table. The message is sent at once; mid-turn, it steers the turn.
2
Read the proposal and answer
Alpha reads each failed attempt, then shows the change in the transcript. Say yes, or tell it what to do instead.
3
Run again
Run again opens the Run step with the cost worked out again. Nothing starts until you press Run evaluation.
4
Compare the runs
The run picker at the top right lists every run, newest first. When a run is Ready, Approve as baseline makes the next run compare against it.
Share the results page and export it
Open the results page opens the run as a report of its own, at/s/<code>/results/<suite>/<run>. Session or Esc closes it; ⌘-click (Ctrl on Windows and Linux) opens it in a new tab. Anyone who can view the session can open the link. At its own address the page is read-only for everyone, so decide split grades and send fixes from the Evals tab.
It adds Previous runs (once there is more than one run) and a folded Numbers section: the run’s measures, set Against the run before when there is a baseline; Cost split between The agent, AI judge and, when the run used one, Quick grader; and By step and by check.
Viewers of a shared session see Results only, read-only. They can’t decide split grades or use Fix with Alpha, Run again or the ask buttons.
Ask the agent about results
Alpha reads the run’s own files before it answers a question about it. Alpha will:- Read that attempt’s steps, model requests, tool calls and every check.
- Explain the failure, quoting what the check found.
- Propose a fix, and wait for your yes before it edits anything.
When a run ends, an Eval result card appears in the transcript.
The chip is the must-pass gate: PASS, FAIL, HELD while a split grade waits for you, or INCOMPLETE when a case that counts couldn’t be graded. A run with no must-pass case has no chip. Open detailed report opens Results on Detailed report. Fix appears when something failed or couldn’t be graded; it sends the findings to Alpha, which edits nothing without your yes.
Read the run’s event log
The Event log, last in Detailed report, is the run’s own record: attempts, checks, judge calls, provider errors and costs.Next steps
Run an evaluation
Run each case several times to catch answers that are right only some of the time.
Set up evals
Fix a wrong expected answer or star the cases that must pass before the next run.
The Agent tab
The flask button’s dot and tooltip say how the latest run went; a click opens these results.
